Sarah Palin, in an interview to air later today on CNBC, went a step farther than she did in her initial comment on Sen. Ted Stevens' conviction Monday on corruption-related charges (see video below), suggesting that her fellow Alaskan and Republican quit his office.

Here's what Palin said when the cable network's Maria Bartiromo asked her about the case:

Yeah, yeah. Ted Stevens, you know, a sad day for Alaska yesterday when he was found guilty of seven felonies. But -- and now he
